Grow Your Research

As a public research university, VCU supports faculty scholarship initiatives. The VCU Service-Learning Program Office provides assistance to faculty members who are interested in publishing their service-learning work.

A wealth of online resources related to service-learning research can be found at the Conduct Research page of the Learn and Serve America’s National Service-Learning Clearinghouse. The Service-Learning Publishing Opportunities Resource List (2007) [PDF] provides information on professional journals that publish research related to service-learning.

Lynn Pelco, service-learning director, is available to assist individual or teams of faculty members in writing journal manuscripts, conference papers and external grant proposals. For more information, e-mail lepelco@vcu.edu.
